Would you like to use your English as a Second Language teaching skills to benefit small communities in south central Costa Rica?
Proyecto San Gerardo exists to enhance local skills and job opportunities by providing training such as learning English for those working in tourism. Every year thousands of hikers and climbers visit San Gerardo to climb Mt Chirripo and explore this beautiful part of Costa Rica, providing opportunities for employment as guides, hoteliers, restauranteurs, etc to the local people.
We provide free English classes to local adults, youth and children at beginner and intermediate levels, as well as a drop in conversation group.
