Description du poste bénévole

Red Sweater Project has an open position for an experienced Agriculture and Sciences Teacher to teach Form I & Form II Science courses at Mungere Secondary School between January and December 2014, engaging students to speak, read and write English.

Mungere's English Teachers are challenged to engage students to actively participate in Form I-II Science and Agriculture classes and extra-curricular activities designed to broaden their skills in sciences and expand their vocabulary. Our students live in a remote community, where English is rarely spoken, and primary school is taught in Kiswahili. Yet, Tanzanian secondary school curriculum is English-based and the language barrier can be an obstacle to learning. Students learn about better farming and pastoral practices through managing and maintaining the school garden and animal husbandry.
