Description du poste bénévole

EcoViva works in partnership and solidarity with community-led movements in Central America organized to achieve environmental sustainability, economic self-sufficiency, social justice, and peace. The vision, initiative, organization, and implementation of the projects we support come directly from our partner communities. We have an internship opportunity available in our Oakland, Ca., office to support primarily with development and communications.

This position will work closely with the National Outreach Director on communications and development efforts. This internship is a great opportunity to obtain valuable international non-profit work experience. Ideal candidate is someone who is interested in advocacy, communications, journalism and/or community outreach, and someone who is motivated to use online tools to make a difference in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative and engaging bilingual (English/Spanish) Facebook and Twitter posts, LinkedIn discussions, and post blogs written by EcoViva staff regularly
  • Research outreach opportunities in the Bay Area
  • Work on projects relating to donor data management
  • Assist with individual donor campaigns
  • Assist the EcoViva staff as needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills required
  • Comfortable using a variety of online communication platforms required
  • Strong researching skills highly desired
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish desired but not required

Additional Details

  • This is an unpaid internship expected to commit approximately 5 to 15 hours per week for 3 to 6 months, depending on availability
  • Works from EcoViva's Oakland office
  • Flexible work schedule
