Description du poste bénévole

Objectives of Service: Provide over the phone counseling, harm reduction and referral services to young women and parents contacting Shakti regarding Transformational Recovery. Build relationship with potential apprentices and referral organization to increase access to TR.

Outcome of Service:

  • Steady pipeline of women taking steps towards the Apprenticeship
  • Pool of strong partnerships with referral orgs to build pipeline and strengthen the web of support for women seeking healing.
  • Strengthen/streamline courting and referral system

Length of Commitment: 6+ Months

Schedule Commitment: 5 - 10 hrs/week over 2 or more days a week, ideally.

Required Qualifications: Passion for women's healing, grounded energy to address potential crisis situations, ability to be responsive via phone and email in a timely manner, good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of social programs and community resources
  • Clinical/therapeutic/healing experience
  • Experience working with challenging and/or diverse populations

Training Provided: Training in the Shakti Rising therapeutic and facilitation model and Mentoring by Shakti Rising staff.
