Description de la mission bénévole

We implement football/soccer as a main sports program. Share your passion for football with African children from deprived backgrounds. Working in communities, you will help them to develop their soccer skills. The level of talent existing in Ghana was highlighted by the country's presence in the 2006 FIFA World Cup held in Germany and quarter finalist in the 2010 World Cup hosted on African Soil for the first time in South Africa. You will have the opportunity to help harness and develop that talent!

The program is organized in partnership with a local soccer academy in the Eastern Region of Ghana. During the program, you will have the opportunity to take part in the following activities which include assisting the academy only coach in football classes through skill development, coordination skills, game preparation and training drills, help in the organization of training sessions and competitions, give advice and lessons on football tactics, provide advice on health issues and requirements, take part in competition football camps and local tournaments, and optional teaching within the academy or local schools.

The goal of this project is to primarily develop football (soccer) in Ghana, and discover lots of talents in rural communities, especially at the soccer academy.

Volunteers will have access to electricity, bathroom with shower and flushing toilet. Most projects are walking distance from the accommodation which will help minimize transport cost. Volunteers are placed with screened Host Families; this is to make sure the family is healthy and do not have any communicable kind of disease dangerous to volunteers' health. Placements are very flexible with your individuals/groups preferences and requests.
