Mentor YOUth is a site based mentorship program designed to help the youth succeed by matching young people, ages 8-18, with caring, adult community volunteers. We seek to provide a safe and highly structured environment for mentors and mentees to build a positive and sustainable relationship. After an initial interview, background check and intake, you will be provided an orientation and multiple trainings so that you will feel prepared and able to get the most out of this wonderful experience. Each child deserves all the tools and support to develop into a happy and successful adult, and by pairing a young person up with a compassionate community member, they receive the one-on-one adult attention which inspires them and lets them know that the success of the whole community is bound up in that of their own. A successful community is a team effort.
You can be the asset that a young person is missing, the push he or she needs to be confident in pursuing his or her unique passion and becoming the next leader in the community.
