Get an intimate look at global health by volunteering with various Ghanaian and international health-related NGOs, as well as the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.Volunteers will have the opportunity to visit the Kaleo Area Women Development Association to learn about their work in empowering women and improving the health of their community. We will have a once in a life time opportunity to visit rural villages and really get an inside look at the concerns they face with healthcare, nutrition, stigma, and on. Volunteers will also work with OG alumni-initiated project, Ghana Medical Help, in their efforts to assess and distribute much-needed medical equipment to the district hospitals. There will be several opportunities to branch out into many particular niches in the health field. Throughout this time, we have had many participants find their true passion in global health. The opportunity is what you make of it.
