Teaching English & Mathematics in low-income communities can increase employment opportunities and ultimately help people to become economically independent.
Placements are in primary or secondary schools and special schools. Minimum age : 18
Maximum age : 75
Both inexperienced and experienced volunteers can teach vocabularies, assist with pronunciation, help with the calculation of arithmetical figures and support students as they practice speaking English and improve on their mathematics, computer and science skills.
Usually you work in timetabled conversational English or Mathematics lessons. Sometimes (usually at a primary school) you are given your own class.
