we are looking for volunteer from around the world to help us with the work here. •Coordinate the magazine •Write/ Edit articles •Make the magazine aesthetically pleasing •Printing the magazine, and sending it to members and partners •Interview director, volunteers, and stakeholders in Kenya for articles •Distribute the magazine after every six months •Continually update Baraka children family members, partners, volunteers and the community at large of all the latest news of the organization.LOCATION OF THE PROGRAM The program is located at Sofia Matuu approximately 90 eastern Kenya.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAM The duration depends on the volunteer's availability and travel arrangements. We accept volunteers both short-term, 2-4 weeks and long-term, 1- 6months. For volunteers wanting to travel, we are able to assist with providing information.
PROGRAM FEE There is no charge if you take this position outside Kenya, but there's US$70 per week payable prior or at the start of the placement should you take this position within Kenya. The program fee will cater for your meals, accommodation, orientation & supervision as well as the orphanage projects.
FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION Food & accommodation are provided as part of the program.
AIR TICKET AND TRAVEL COSTS Volunteers are required to purchase their own airline tickets.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS A representative of the organization will meet you at the airport upon arrival. WHAT IS PROVIDED TO THE VOLUNTEER Baraka staff arranges Airport transfers and transportation from the main airport to the project sites. Upon arrival, we offer free orientation for the new volunteers to become acquainted with the local culture, language and project's work. All our placements are safe and secure • Volunteer Accommodation: While volunteering, volunteers will be accommodated in either a home stay or dormitory situation.
