Some recent volunteers discovered that within walking distance of the D.A.A.N. Badgaon education center there is an orphanage specifically for HIV positive kids. After spending some time with the kids and staff we realized that the whole setup is lacking a few things. We would like to help them in areas regarding technical support in terms of computer skills, as well as provide them with someone who can help these shining and smiling kids with their school education.
There are 9 chidren living at this orphanage and they all attend the local government-run school. Just like any government-run school they face problems which include; a misunderstanding of what is been taught, a lack of opportunity, and limited platforms to progress academically. The D.A.A.N. Foundation has decided to help support them with their school education with special emphasis on English, Mathematics and Computer Education
Also, as an effort to assist the pre-existing setup we realized that someone should work recreationally in order to develop confidence within these adorable kids. D.A.A.N.'s aim is to spend time with them, make them smile and promote their overall well being.
