The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) of the Capital Region is seeking volunteers to help in the start-up phase of a local YNPN chapter.
YNPN of the Capital Region is dedicated to supporting and advancing the careers of young nonprofit professionals. We achieve this by fostering an inclusive and fun community of ynps through networking and professional development opportunities.
We are currently seeking a group of hyper-friendly, gregarious, hard-working, creative, and committed core volunteers who are passionate about the nonprofit sector and about creating the first professional development org that seeks to advance the careers and opportunities for ynps in the area.
As a core volunteer you will work with a diverse group of your peers to establish and develop YNPN of the Capital Region as a membership organization that serves as a valuable resource to ynps. During this start-up phase specific duties will include:
- Meeting on a monthly basis with other core volunteers to design and implement a marketing and member services plan that will include hosting networking events, establishing a Web presence, positioning YNPN in the professional development marketplace, and laying the foundation for other member services such as professional development opportunities.
- Weekly e-mail and telephone communication will be required.
